Charges have been officially filed against a 21 year-old Denver, Colorado, driver involved with a Colorado Hit and Run investigation. The Denver resident allegedly only stopped long enough to get out of her vehicle, retrieve a hub cap (that fell off during the collision), and yell for a witness to call emergency services. The driver was allegedly under the influence during the incident, admitting consumption of four alcoholic beverages prior to the mishap. The driver has been charged with fleeing the scene of an accident, Driving Under the Influence, Vehicular Assault, and Child Abuse Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury. If convicted of these counts, the Denver driver could be sentenced to jail. She has since posted a $50,000 bond. C.R.S. 18-3-205, C.R.S. 18-6-401, C.R.S. 42-4-1301.

According to Fox News, the victim of the incident was an 11 year-old riding his bike. He claims he was injured when the driver hit him in the middle of an intersection, failing to observe a stop sign.
