Mr. Musell graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2005. Mr. Musell is licensed to practice law in Colorado. While in law school, Mr. Musell was the winner of the 2004 Negotiation Competition for University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Prior to graduation, Mr. Musell served as an intern and student attorney for the Colorado State Public Defender's Office in Arapahoe and Denver County.
Since 2005, Mr. Musell has worked for the Colorado State Public Defender's Office at several offices throughout the state of Colorado. Mr. Musell defended clients for several years in Grand Junction and Mesa County, Colorado. While in Grand Junction, Mr. Musell successfully represented clients accused of attempted murder, assault, sexual assault, possession and distribution of controlled substances, identity theft, fraud, burglary, theft, probation violations, driving under the influence, and domestic violence related charges, obtaining outstanding results for his clients, including the dismissal of all charges in many instances.
Mr. Musell has been lead counsel in countless criminal trials, both jury and bench trials. In 2008, Mr. Musell was selected to lead the Sterling Regional Trial Office of the Colorado State Public Defender's Office, where he supervised trial attorneys in nearly two thousand criminal cases. Mr. Musell trained and supervised three attorneys in all aspects of criminal proceedings.
